The NAVY 3.0 is a 3kW (~6HP) electric outboard motor designed for performance and quietness. The brushless DC motor inside the NAVY 3.0 is placed at the bottom and surrounded by water allowing direct and effective cooling. A gearbox-free design eliminates noise and maintenance requirements commonly seen with petrol outboard motors.

The built-in motor protection slows or stops the motor when it collides with objects underneath the water. More time can now be spent enjoying the trip instead of spending hours or days with the mechanic! All of these features unite to create an electric outboard motor that is perfect for cruising, fishing and other water activities.

Key Features :

• 3 kW output (roughly equivalent to 6 hp) designed for smaller boats such as dinghies, tenders, aluminium fishing boats, small inflatables and sailboat auxiliaries.

• Direct‑drive and gear‑free design (brushless DC motor) meaning fewer moving parts, quieter operation and reduced maintenance compared to a petrol outboard.

• Wide input voltage range: 39 V to 60 V, making it compatible with appropriate lithium battery banks.

• Two shaft length options to suit transom height: “Short” (suitable for transom ~<50 cm) and “Long” (for transom >50 cm).

• Tiller control version: the “Tiller” designation means it uses a tiller handle for throttle and steering control. Remote or other control options exist but the tiller version gives a straightforward manual handle.

• Hydrogeneration capability: When under sail or being towed, the motor can act as a generator, recovering energy to the battery (in suitable conditions).

• Saltwater and freshwater compatible: The build includes corrosion resistant materials for salt‑water use.
